Terms and Conditions

of using Field Farm Dog Paddock

Use of Field Farm Dog Paddock is entirely at your own risk. By using the paddock, you accept responsibility for your own safety and the safety, behaviour and wellbeing of your dog(s) at all times. By booking and using the dog exercise paddock, users agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the facility.

The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all individuals attending with them comply with these terms.

  • Entry to Field Farm Dog Paddock is strictly by pre-booked appointment only.
  • The main gate is secured with a keypad lock. The access code is changed regularly and will be sent to you prior to your booking. This code must not be shared with anyone else.
  • Your booking is valid only for the time slot stated in your confirmation email. If you arrive late, your session will still end at the scheduled finish time. The paddock must be fully vacated at the end of your booking slot.
  • Vehicles should only park in the allocated on-site car park. The field is contained on a working farm and so roads must be accessible for our equipment.
  • You must ensure gates are securely closed at all times.
  • You must remain aware of your dog’s behaviour at all times while using the paddock. Please do not remain in your vehicle while your dog is running freely.
  • Dogs must not dig excessively or damage any plants or fencing within the paddock. If you notice damage, please report this to us as soon as possible.
  • The paddock has been kept as natural as possible to support wildlife such as insects, birds and bees. Some naturally occurring plants may be harmful to dogs if consumed in large quantities. While we regularly check the paddock for potential hazards, owners should ensure that dogs do not chew or consume plants, roots or flowers.
  • As the paddock is a natural outdoor environment, there may occasionally be mole hills, uneven ground or burrowing animal holes, which may present trip hazards. Although we remove as many of these as possible, please take care while walking around the paddock and wear appropriate footwear.
  • Seasonal conditions may also affect ground conditions. In winter there may be muddy areas, and during the warmer months freshly cut grass may stain footwear or clothing. Please dress appropriately for outdoor conditions.
  • All dog waste must be picked up immediately. Waste bags are provided and all bagged waste should be placed in the designated dog waste bin. This bin is for bagged dog waste only and must not be used for general rubbish. Failure to clean up after dogs may result in refusal of future bookings.
  • Please discourage dogs from digging, particularly along the fence line. Any holes created during your visit should be filled in before leaving.
  • Although the paddock is checked regularly, you should visually inspect the fencing before letting your dog off lead to ensure it is secure.
  • Under no circumstances should anyone climb on the fences or gates.
If you arrive early for your booking and another customer is still using the paddock, please wait in your vehicle until the paddock is clear. Do not approach the gate unless the previous user has exceeded their booking time.
  • Dogs must never be left unattended in the paddock.
  • The consumption of alcohol is not permitted while using the paddock.
If your dog, or any dog from your group, is showing signs of illness (including but not limited to vomiting, diarrhoea, kennel cough or lethargy), you must not use the paddock. Please contact us to cancel your booking.
Commercial dog walkers or trainers must obtain prior permission before booking.
  • As this is a working farm, do not venture away from the car park and dog exercise paddock.
  • Users are responsible for any damage caused by themselves, their guests, or their dogs to fencing, equipment, or land. The paddock owners reserve the right to recover costs for repair or replacement.
  • Access codes cannot be used outside of your booking time or shared with anyone else.
  • Car park is to be used at your own risk, we cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage.
  • Field Farm Dog Paddock reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
  • Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in withdrawal of permission to use the paddock.

  • Injury to dogs, owners, guests, or children
  • Illness contracted by dogs
  • Loss or damage to personal property
  • Dog escapes caused by user negligence

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, as required under UK law.

Banned & Restricted Breeds Policy

Owners of banned or restricted breeds, including XL Bullies, must comply fully with all regulations set out by the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and all relevant UK legislation on the day of their visit to Field Farm Dog Paddock.

By booking, you agree to the following additional Terms and Conditions:

1. Handler-to-Dog Ratio

Exempt breeds are only permitted to enter the field alongside dogs from the same household. A strict one handler per exempt dog ratio applies:

  • 1 exempt dog = 1 handler
  • 2 exempt dogs = 2 handlers
  • 3 exempt dogs = 3 handlers

If additional (non-exempt) dogs from the same household are present, at least one handler must also be responsible for those dogs.

2. Muzzle Requirements

All exempt breeds must be securely muzzled when entering and exiting the field. Muzzles may only be removed once inside the field with all gates fully closed and locked. Muzzles must be reapplied before opening the gate to leave.

3. Lead Control

Dogs must be kept on a lead when entering and exiting the field. Leads may only be removed once inside the secure field with gates closed and locked. The same process must be followed in reverse when leaving.

4. Gate Security

For the safety of all users, all gates must remain securely closed and locked at all times during your session.

5. Compliance Confirmation

You must agree to these additional Terms and Conditions prior to booking. Failure to comply may result in refusal of entry or removal from the premises.
